Hi all, my name is Kimberley. I am new to candle making but enjoying it very much.

I have made 3 candles so far...one tan cappuccino scented swirled ball candle, one small tan vanilla scented votive candle, one light green hexagon aromatherapy scented (relax) candle.

Today I am making pink and red stacked heart candles from a book I purchased for my sons teacher for Valentines day. I will take and post them later today after they are done.

Hey Chris...I need "clear" wax to coat a candle with (wax dries clear not white)...where can I pick that up in the United States?

My husband bought me 20 lbs of pure paraffin wax at Hobby Lobby last night, does it dry clear? AND...lol..I know I need other hobbies too...lol...

I am going to be making a container candle and was reading about Crisco on the site...I am using a Christmas cookie tin like you can get at wal-mart.

Do I still need to get Vybar as well as use the Crisco, or just the Crisco and how much do I use?...like I said I am new to this and want to learn

I am Sonia,newly-new-very-new on making candles.Actually,i am assimilating the theory before getting into practice..and i was thinking if this stuff is mostly like when acquiring a new gadget: simply try it and see "what and how" with it or to study the "book" first.And now,after making a total fool of myself i give you big hugs and i hope we will be the best friends even when my Nobel prize for candle art (yeah,they will invent it for me ) will be handed to me in two years in Sweden.
