You're making your first steps into candlemaking and are not completely sure yet it's really something for you? Don't worry, you can give this great hobby a try with very little supplies and without maxing out your credit card. To make a simple candle like a container or a pillar candle, you can probably find most of the things you need around your kitchen. What you don't have already, you can get from a thrift store near you or just hack common household items.

Nevertheless, there are a few pieces of equipment you need to have, whether for your own safety (like a thermometer) or for purely practical reasons. Fortunately, none of these indispensable items are very costly. Even if you buy them new, all five items we will look at in this section should not cost you more than thirty dollars.
